反应烧结指将原料成型体在一定温度下通过固相,液相和气相相互间发生化学反应,同时进行致密化和规定组分的合成,得到预定的烧结体的过程。反应烧结仅局限于少量几个体系,例如氮化硅、氧氮化硅、碳化硅等。

优缺点
Advantages and disadvantages
反应烧结的优点是不需添加额外的添加物,因此高温下材料的强度不会明显降低;产品的外形和尺寸基本不变,可以制得形状复杂尺寸精确的制品;要把两个零件焊接在一起,只需将其连接在一起进行氮化即可;同时工艺简单、经济,适合大批量生产。

缺点是烧结坯密度低,例如反应烧结的氮化硅密度约2.4g/cm3,气压烧结氮化硅密度约3.2g/cm3,材料力学性能不高。
